What documents are needed for a car loan?

Hi, my credit score at experian is 999 (excellent) so was wondering what other documents will be required for car finance. Do I need to show my wage slips and bank statements? ( Finance needed 38k putting down 20% deposit)... Thanks

Kham

Answer

Hi Kham, if your credit rating is excellent all we'll need to get a deal funded is your driving licence and possibly a proof of address. We wouldn't need anything else.

Are you on the voters roll at your current address as that's the only small stumbling block i can see? If you are then we can get you into a new car in no time and the fact that you have a 20% deposit is a massive help also. We offer some great rates from high street names including Barclays, Hitachi & Santander.

Please apply when you are ready and once approved we provide a no obligation quote and you can buy a car from any dealer. Kind Regards, Rachel

Hello,

I have just got my drivers licence and i turned 24 yesterday. I don't think my credit rating is great to be honest and i would like to know more on how to get car finance. I am employed too.

Answer

Hi Moyosore, thank you for your question.

Firstly, congratulations on passing your driving test and Happy Birthday for yesterday! Moving on - we do have lenders that help people with fair/poor credit scores so as you're 24, have a licence and are employed i'm confident we can help.

To get the deal funded we'd need to see a copy of your driving licence, proof of address (utility bill) and proof of income (payslips). A deposit would also help your chances if possible.

Please make an application when you can and once accepted we provide a no obligation quote and you can choose a car from any UK dealer. Kind Regards, Rachel

Hi there, i am sitting my test in mid January. I am 21 years old but my credit rating is fair, not too good but not awfully bad.

Anyway, i am hoping to apply for finance the day i pass but was wondering how long the whole process will take? I live in Scotland and have already found the car i want - a 2010 Mini Cooper (costs around £11,000 from the Mini / BMW garage in my area).

If i got accepted could i get that car or would it need to be small dealerships i would need to choose from? I will have a deposit of £1-2000 for the car and am employed. Thanks

Answer

Hi Kat, thank you for your question.

As you have fair credit and a large deposit i'm confident we can get you approved for finance. We may struggle to get you £10,000 but £7000 - £8000 would be possible depending upon how much income you have.

You can get your Mini from any dealer in the UK and we do help people who live in Scotland get car finance. Please apply when you get a moment and we do provide a no obligation quote. Kind Regards, Rachel
