Ford offers car loan customers 'a green MPV'

10 December 2008

People who would consider taking out a Car Loan for an MPV with low CO2 emissions may want to check out Ford's latest C-Max MPV.

The manufacturer claimed engineering developments to the 1.6 TDCi version have resulted in a much greener motor.

It said the car now offers CO2 emissions of 119 g/km, which means it qualifies for vehicle excise duty (VED) of £35, rather than £120.

Ford added there will be an additional reduction to £30 from next April when updated VED bands are introduced.

The carmaker also stated the vehicle is capable of 62.8 mpg.

Meanwhile, for people who want a green motor but require something smaller than an MPV, Ford pointed out it offers over 50 models emitting less than 120 g/km of CO2.

In other news, the manufacturer recently released figures which showed its market share of new car sales rose by more than five per cent in November.
