Citroen 'helps car loans customers cruise through the credit crunch'

19 January 2009

Car Loans customers looking for a model with low running costs may want to pay a visit to their local Citroen dealership.

The manufacturer has announced it is launching a special edition of its C1.

Named the Splash, the model includes air conditioning, remote central locking and front electric windows.

Buyers will also be able to choose between two new colours - Lipizan White and Electra Blue.

According to Citroen, the vehicle is "the ideal city car to cruise through the credit crunch".

The manufacturer explained the model offers fuel economy of 62.8 mpg - meaning drivers can save money at the pump - and qualifies for group one insurance.

In addition, the vehicle has CO2 emissions of 106 g/km so road tax costs should be low.

Available in three and five-door editions, prices start at £7,345.

Meanwhile, Citroen announced earlier this month it had launched its cleanest ever C3 and C4 models - the Airdream+ special edition vehicles.
