According to CobraTrak, one of the best ways to minimise the risk of having a vehicle stolen is to keep keys in a safe place at all times.

CobraTrak is a brand operated by tracking and location service Cobra. It said opportunistic criminals can sometimes steal keys through a letterbox if they are carelessly left lying around.
