Car loans customers 'could save cash by protecting their suspension'

05 February 2009

Car Loans customers who have recently bought new vehicles may be well-advised to take steps to protect their suspension, it has been suggested.

According to Car Parts Direct, the risk of damage has increased over recent years as a result of the growing number of speed bumps on UK roads.

However, the company pointed out there is a simple solution to the problem.

It explained, by adding rubbers to the suspension coil springs, motorists can help protect their cars and avoid expensive repairs.

The group insisted this is a straightforward procedure that takes about 20 minutes and costs around £35.

In order to give vehicle owners a helping hand, Car Parts Direct has produced an online video to explain how to fit the rubbers.

Spokesman Mark Cornwall said: "It appears speed bumps are here to stay.

"That's why we have taken action to reduce the risk of suspension damage."

Meanwhile, Car Parts Direct recently warned motorists if their vehicles are not roadworthy their insurance may be invalidated.
