New MX-5 may tempt car loans customers

12 February 2009

Car Loans customers thinking of treating themselves to a sporty little number may want to hold off until April when the upgraded Mazda MX-5 arrives in UK showrooms.

According to the manufacturer, the eight-strong line-up has been revised to reduce aerodynamic drag and improve agility.

In addition to this, it claimed the model now releases significantly less CO2 and boasts lower fuel consumption.

Commenting on both the soft-top and coupe versions of the vehicle, sales director Mark Cameron said: "They are unrivalled as rewarding sports cars that can also be used for everyday motoring all year round, with excellent heating and ventilation, plus high-performance audio systems."

Prices for the soft-top range start at £16,345, while the coupe edition costs from £18,345.

Meanwhile, the manufacturer is due to unveil two new versions of the Mazda3 at next month's Geneva motor show.

The company will premiere an edition featuring a fuel-saving start-stop system, alongside the MPS model.
