Motorists planning on taking out Car Loans in the coming months for new vehicles may be impressed by the safety credentials of the Honda Accord.

The model was awarded a maximum five-star rating following crash tests performed by Euro Ncap.

Recently updated, the scoring system takes into account the protection afforded to adult occupants in the event of an accident and how safe a child would be in the same circumstances.

It also looks at measures put in place to minimise the injuries to a pedestrian if they were to be hit by the car and technology that can prevent collisions in the first place.

Some of the safety features included in the Accord are Vehicle Stability Assist, Motion Adaptive Electric Power Steering and Lane Keeping Assist.

In other news, Honda recently announced prices for the all-new Insight start at £15,490, making it the cheapest hybrid model on the UK market.
