As Netcars told you a few days ago, GM has announced the price of it’s highly anticipated plug-in hybrid vehicle named the Volt. And, well, there’s no easy way of putting this, so here goes…it’s going to cost $41,000.

Of course, it’s in dollars, so initially only the American’s will be able to spend a huge amount of money on the Volt, but at that price, will they?

Finances both in the public, private and residential sector are still on a bit of a dodgy road. Will the Volt sell in the numbers Chevy predict? Time will tell, but one thing is abundantly clear, you will have to really want to save the world to spend such a large amount of money on one of these things.
