Car dealers up and down the country are preparing for the usual September 1st pandemonium. It’s new plate time, and it seems dealers are fairly confident that the ‘60’ plate is going to be a successful plate for the coming months. Of course, it’s also an opportune moment to buy as the governments’ VAT rise is due in January.

Car Finance specialist and owner of Bridford Financial Solutions, Tim Marlow, said it is the luxury end of the market that will notice a large ballooning in sales today.

Tim continued to state: “Sales at the top end of the car market have continued to grow this year and we’ve played a major part in helping dealerships with more the £20m-plus.

“I expect this to increase further in the final three months of the year ahead of the 2.5 per cent VAT increase.”
