British Car Auctions reveals financial used car success

According to the British Car Auctions, sales of used cars in the UK hit record levels in 2009. £34 billion-worth of car sales were posted, which beats 2008’s figure by around £6 billion.

The figures, however, don’t tell the full story. The actual numbers of used cars were down on 2008, but it was the value of each car that was higher, leading to the improved results. Car dealers were financially successful, too. With numbers of 3.53 million used cars sold last year, an impressive increase of £1.2 billion.
