Car Finance for Contractors / Contract Workers

I have been told by other lenders that because i am a contract worker i will not be able to get car finance. Is this true?

Penny O'Gara

Answer

Hi Penny, i'm not sure why you have been told that but we do have lenders on our panel that help contract workers as long as you have a driving licence and can prove your income over the last 3 months for example.

In fact if you have a good credit score we may not even have to provide any proof of income so payslips may not be mandatory.

Please make an application online and once approved we provide a no obligation quote and you can buy a car from any dealer. Kind Regards, Rachel

I'm a contract worker and would like to know whether i can purchase a car if you're a freelancer?

With regards to purchasing a car what do they look at regarding your employment history?

Answer

Hi Devinia, thank you for your question.

If you have a good credit history we may be able to get you approved with a lender that doesn't need to see proof of income. If this is the case we'll just need a proof of address (utility bill) and a copy of your driving licence.

However, if you have fair / poor credit we will need to see 3 months income by way of payslips or bank statements. We have many lenders so i'm confident we can get you accepted.

Please make an application and once approved you can buy a car from any dealer. Kind Regards, Rachel
