What credit score do I need to be approved for car credit

Hello, I have recently received my Experian credit report which gave me a score of 749 as i have late payments on my mortgage.

Could I still get a car on finance with my credit score?

Hi Jay, your credit score doesn't seem too bad at all if i'm honest and we have helped people with lower scores in the past. We can't guarantee an approval at this stage but we do have lenders on our panel that help people with recent missed payments.

Please make an application when you're ready as I'm reasonably confident that we can get you accepted with one of our panel of lenders.

If accepted the rate you pay will obviously be higher than those you see on the high street as you have a few late payments and you'll be seen as a slightly higher risk in the lenders eyes but, the rate you receive will be set by the lender you're approved with. The amount you can borrow will also be dependent upon your income.

Also, if accepted we provide a no obligation quote and you are free to buy a car from any dealer nationwide. Kind Regards, Rachel
