Seat is giving a new lease of life to its Leon series, releasing two completely new models amid ongoing interest in its new Ibiza.

The firm hopes the Leon Emocion and Leon Sport will share the limelight enjoyed by its forthcoming Ibiza five-door.

The Leon Sport version has varying engine options with a 125 PS 1.4-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine or a 140 PS 2.0-litre TDI available while the Emocion has 16-inch alloy wheels and front fog lights.

Seat said the additions were designed to give a "real shot in the arm" and breathe new life into the family five door series.

Prices stand at £13,250 RRP for the 1.6 petrol Emocion, with the £17,995 RRP for the 2.0 TDI Sport the heaviest tag among the new models.

Seat is currently developing the SportCoupe Bocanegra which hints at the firm's future style direction.

First unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, the car features LED light clusters and elegant door mirror mounts.
