Car finance customers buying diesel vehicles could see costs reduced

As the price of diesel hits £6 a gallon, drivers using car loans could significantly reduce their fuel costs with a new tuning device.

As the price of diesel hits £6 a gallon, drivers using car loans could significantly reduce their fuel costs with a new tuning device.

Slough-based engine tuners Paramount Performance is providing motorists feeling the pinch of rising prices with a 'plug and play' diesel economy unit.

The firm claims diesel consumption can be improved by up to 16 per cent with the technology.

Devices can be bought via mail order and fitted by the car owner within minutes or the process can be carried out by the company at their headquarters.

And those wary of adding another £299 to £350 plus VAT to their credit can be reassured by the money-back guarantee.

The systems are fully transferable between cars of the same type, so motorists who change their car can continue to enjoy the benefits.

According to Paramount Performance, the economy unit can improve performance, reduce the number of gear changes and braking and acceleration required as well as provide the power needed when towing caravans and trailers.
