Peugeot has revealed details of its new 308 CC, which will be on show at the Paris Motor Show in September.
Having pioneered folding roof cars with the Eclipse models in the 1930s, Peugeot's latest coupe cabriolet benefits from years of expertise, the manufacturer says.
Since the introduction of the 206 CC cope cabriolet seven years ago, the model evolved in to the 307 then the 207 and this year will see the next step being realised with the 308.
The 308 CC, with its four full-size seats, capitalises on all the inbuilt strengths of the 308 range whilst still embodying the 307 CC spirit and Peugeots coupé cabriolet expertise," the manufacturer states.
"Above all, it promises enthusiasts of 'lifestyle' motoring a unique and genuinely attractive offer."
It features a fully automatic roof that can be retracted in 20 seconds, increased rear leg room, airbags including chest, pelvis and side head and roll-over protection bars.
The Peugeot family started producing cars in 1889 a decade after their invention.
