Seat's new Ibiza 5dr has already received some impressive new residual value predictions from independent sources.
CAP New Monitor has stated that the model will be worth around 43 per cent of its original value after three years and 36,000 miles.
This means that car credit customers may be able to get back a large amount of the cost of their vehicle and use it to pay for another one.
Its residual value puts it in league with the very best-performing supermini vehicles on the market, the company added.
Martin Ward, manufacturer relations manager at CAP Motor Research, has claimed that this is down to its "much-improved quality over the outgoing car".
He said: "Much of the interior is as good as some more premium brands. This quality will certainly stand the test of time, and will make the Ibiza a very desirable used car for many years."
The Seat Ibiza originally went into production in 1985.
