Eco-friendly drivers who are considering taking out a new car loan in 2009 may be interested to hear that Toyota's updated Avensis is due to be released next January.

Eco-friendly drivers who are considering taking out a new car loan in 2009 may be interested to hear that Toyota's updated Avensis is due to be released next January.

The new car will make its world debut in October at the Paris motor show.

According to Toyota the latest model has a more powerful engine which releases less CO2.

The manufacturer claims: "It retains the high quality, refinement and equipment levels that are an established Avensis hallmark."

It adds the vehicle has "a sleek design" that reflects its "strong and dynamic character".

For motorists who are keen to start thinking about car finance, full details and pricing will be announced later this year.

The new Avensis is the third generation of the model due to be manufactured in Derbyshire at the Burnaston plant.

Meanwhile, those car loans customers looking for a 4x4 may decide to opt for a Jeep after the manufacturer scooped three awards in 4x4 Magazine's annual awards.
