Motorists who are planning on taking out car finance to buy a new vehicle in the near future may be interested to hear Citroen is releasing a special edition convertible supermini.

The limited edition C3 Pluriel – the Charleston – is to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October and should be in UK salesrooms early in 2009.

Citroen claims the new model is a reinterpretation of the 2CV, which is celebrating its 60th birthday this year.

The car will come in a two-tone colour scheme of black and Bordeaux red and will also feature gloss-black fittings, chrome trim and leather upholstery.

In addition, 15 inch aluminium wheels with red embellisher centres will be fitted as standard.

Further details, including the price, will be released in due course.

In other news which may be of interest to car credit customers, Citroen announced earlier this month it would be unveiling a new concept coupe at the Paris Motor Show.
