Despite reports of poor sales generally in September, it would seem motorists are still taking out car loans to purchase models from Fiat.
The manufacturer announced its best monthly result in the UK for four years, after shifting 9,818 vehicles.
According to the carmaker, it now has a three per cent market share in the UK.
This comes after figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders revealed overall sales in the country fell by 21.2 per cent in September compared with the same month last year.
Meanwhile, the number of Fiat cars bought last month increased by 56.5 per cent.
Commenting on the result, managing director at Fiat Andrew Humberstone said: "There has been a shift in consumer buying behaviour and people are choosing to downsize into the small car sector - an area which is clearly one of our primary strengths."
Last month, the manufacturer announced an eco-friendly version of the Panda had gone on sale in the UK.
