Motorists considering taking out a car loan to update their existing vehicle may be interested to hear the revised Mazda3 is to be unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show next month.

Redesigned for the first time in five years, the model is the latest evolution of the manufacturer's next generation Zoom-Zoom products and follows hot in the tyre tracks of the all-new Mazda2 and Mazda6 which came out last year.

The carmaker claims: "Every element of the all-new Mazda3 has been developed resulting in a more refined, sporty ride, top class fuel economy and quietness."

It also states the vehicle's environmental and safety features work in harmony with its fun-to-drive elements.

Since being launched in 2003, about 1.8 million of the current Mazda3 have been sold in more than 100 countries and it has won more than 90 motoring awards.

Last month, the Mazda MX-5 snatched top spot in the best roadster category at the Auto Express Used Car Awards.
