The manufacturer has announced its Grand Vitara, Swift, Swift Sport and SX4 models will now feature a new state-of-the-art Clarion multimedia unit.

Specially developed for Suzuki, the system can be fitted by any of its 147 franchise dealers in the UK.

According to the company, the unit provides "a one-stop solution for their in-car entertainment requirements".

The system includes a seven-inch colour touch-screen and built-in 40 GB hard-drive.

Drivers have access to 24 pre-selected radio stations, GPS satellite navigation and hands-free mobile phone operation thanks to Bluetooth connectivity.

They can also listen to music on CD or DVD, or connect direct to their iPod.

Car loans customers who are interested in the unit can purchase it from any Suzuki franchised dealer for £1,499, excluding installation.

In other news, the manufacturer voiced its support for a national tyre safety campaign organised by TyreSafe in October.
