People who have been considering taking out a car loan for the Toyota iQ may be even more tempted after hearing it has won an award.
The model has just been named the 2008 Japan vehicle of the year, against rivals such as the Audi A4, Jaguar XF and Citroen C5.
With more than double the points of the second-placed motor, the iQ was praised for its space efficiency and design.
The vehicle will not be able to repeat this feat in the 2008 European car of the year competition as it does not go on sale until January 6th 2009 - past the cut off date for entries.
When the vehicle does arrive in showrooms in the UK, car loan customers will be able to get their hands on the model for £9,495.
The entry-level version of the motor will have a number of features as standard, including 15-inch alloys, heated electrically-adjustable door mirrors, six-speaker audio system and air conditioning.
