People planning on taking out car loans for new vehicles may want to take a look at the revised Mazda3 five-door hatchback unveiled at the Bologna Motor Show.
According to the manufacturer, the model builds on the qualities of the original motor and reflects an increasing concern with environmental matters.
Programme manager Yoshiyuki Maeda said: "We focused on achieving an exhilarating experience that drivers would sense directly."
Mazda claimed, where exterior design was concerned, the car kept some of the original model's dynamic lines but was made more expressive.
The manufacturer added the inside has been given a sporty yet refined feel.
In terms of its green credentials, the company pointed out the new MZR-CD 2.2L standard power version is about ten per cent more efficient than the first generation MZR-CD 2.0L.
Meanwhile, in January the expanded 2009 Mazda6 line-up is due to go on sale in the UK.
