People planning on taking out car loans later in the year to update their current vehicle may want to consider the latest model from Peugeot.
According to the manufacturer, the 3008 cross-over "represents a totally new offering in the UK car market".
It claimed the model is aimed at anyone who does not want a vehicle which falls into existing categories, such as MPVs and hatchbacks.
The carmaker predicted its 3008 cross-over will appeal to everyone, from modern families to senior citizens.
Peugeot explained the model has been designed to provide high levels of safety and the same level of rigidity as a saloon.
It added, to reduce CO2 emissions and fuel consumption, the vehicle's weight has been kept to a minimum.
Car loans customers who like the sound of the 3008 will be able to buy it in the UK from the end of 2009.
Last month, Peugeot reported it had a number of credit crunch-busting finance deals to help out cash-strapped motorists.
