A new model from Kia may be coming at just the right time for those motorists who plan to take out car loans next year in order to replace their current vehicle.

A new model from Kia may be coming at just the right time for those motorists who plan to take out car loans next year in order to replace their current vehicle.

Due to reach the UK market in 2010, the all-new Sorento will first be unveiled at the Seoul Motor Show.

The revised version of the model is longer and lower than its predecessor, with Kia describing the appearance of the updated crossover utility vehicle as "thoroughly modern and sporty".

Peter Schreyer, chief design officer, said: "The dynamic design of new Sorento adopts simple, linear lines to create a powerful yet polished appearance."

He added: "Sporty and striking, the new Sorento represents a new breed of vehicle."

Carbon dioxide emissions from the latest edition of the model will start at 173 g/km.

At the beginning of the month, Kia raised the prices of its vehicles by about three per cent, although the Soul and Magentis were exempt from the increase.
