GM to end long wait and announce the pricing for the financial and economic savior, the Volt

GM’s finances have come under scrutiny like no-other car maker in recent years. And with good reason, because it is one of the world’s biggest manufacturers, and if it doesn’t succeed, it has a knock-on effect globally.

GM’s finances have come under scrutiny like no-other car maker in recent years. And with good reason, because it is one of the world’s biggest manufacturers, and if it doesn’t succeed, it has a knock-on effect globally.

With this in mind, the forthcoming announcement of pricing for the Chevrolet Volt is a crucial moment for the company and its finances. The plug-in hybrid vehicle has been dubbed as one of the most important new cars for 2010 and the continuing raise of the ‘green’ car.

President Obama visited the factory in Holland, Mich., and inspected the Volt. “My first car didn’t look like these,” Mr. Obama said after being impressed by the Volt and the electric Ford Focus. “I wouldn’t have minded tooling around in one of these when I was 20 years old.”
