Don’t worry, you did read that title right. Bentley – one of the most prestigious and praised cars makers on the planet – has announced a recall in the US due to some of the cars suffering from rust.

Not good when you’ve spent upwards of £100k on a high-end, luxury performance car. Apparently, the corrosion can hinder the bonnet emblem from retracting in the event of a crash, which could, theoretically, harm pedestrians.

The number of recalled cars stands at 596, but thankfully there have been no reports of any injuries caused by the fault. It could have been a real financial nightmare for Bentley, because we all remember the Toyota recall a few months ago, and the recent Ferrari fire mishap, it will come as a somewhat welcome relief to the company that so little cars are affected.
