A few months ago, Carfinance24/7 posted a news article that reported Spyker had saved Saab from an untimely death. And now, Spyker has announced that because of the deal, its car finances aren’t exactly that great.

Huge losses have been posted since the takeover in February, and furthermore, the Dutch outfit has reduced its forecasts of car sales from 45,000 sales to 30,000. The third quarter from July-September wasn’t great, either. Spyker posted a loss of £35m, which compared to last years loss of just £3.6m isn’t exactly comforting.

Time will tell if the Dutch sports car maker can pull this one around - one thing is for sure, though, Saab needs sales to pick up, quickly.
