Vauxhall announces financial price list for Ampera

The Nissan Leaf has taken the electric vehicle segment of the market by storm – and Vauxhall aren’t too happy about that at all, and has subsequently announced that when the electric/hybrid Ampera finally goes on sale, it will cost £28,995.

For our non-technical readers out there, that means it is a few thousand pounds more expensive than the smaller Leaf from Nissan. Is it a car finance mistake, or will Vauxhall’s combination of electric and a normal petrol unit help keep the sales high? We will have to wait and see – but one thing is for sure, the age of alternative fuel is starting to gather pace.
