Bavarian car maker BMW has announced plans to introduce car finance operations in Ireland next year. The German giant is hoping to achieve a €100m loan to secure car financing across the country.

BMW Financial Services Ireland boss Phillip Kerry said: "We've been taking applications for about 10 days now and we've already had well over 250 people, most of them excellent credit risks,"

He continued to say, "Our view would be that the Irish public has already been through a pretty good stress test and 87pc of the population are still in jobs.”

BMW has been on the prowl for car finance opportunities for a few months now, and with India secured, it seems that Ireland is next on its hitlist.
