Irish car finance on the up

According to new figures released by the Society for the Irish Motor Industry, new car sales – including car finance – for the first three months of 2011 were up 47,996.

According to new figures released by the Society for the Irish Motor Industry, new car sales – including car finance – for the first three months of 2011 were up 47,996. The number represents a 14 per cent hike compared to the first quarter of last year.

The figures show that Toyota is the highest selling manufacturer, with 14.5 per cent of the Irish market, while VW is in second with an 11.8 per cent share.
