New dip for car finance sales

The months of March and April are typically a slow one for car sales and car finance in the UK and a new report suggests the trend continues in 2011. The lull in sales will come as a blow to dealers who expected the slump, just not this early in the year.

The months of March and April are typically a slow one for car sales and car finance in the UK and a new report suggests the trend continues in 2011. The lull in sales will come as a blow to dealers who expected the slump, just not this early in the year.

According to the figures, there was a 15% drop in car sales during March and the beginning of April compared to the same time in 2010. But there could be some hope that the numbers pick up with the forthcoming British summer and everyone’s desire to go out and buy a convertible. Could the sun bring back the customers?

We’ll have to wait and see – let’s just hope it doesn’t rain.
