Ford announces huge car finance profit!

The blue oval has announced that despite the last few years of poor sales for all manufacturers, the recession and the tragedy in Japan, it has actually made massive profits. According to Ford, it is now making more profits than it has during the past 13 years.

The profits are due to the popularity of car finance, especially for the Focus and Fiesta models. The reliable, cheap and small cars have been a huge hit internationally and have kept Ford going during the bad times. Ford’s net profit of $2.55bn for the first quarter meant a 2% rise of shares on the New York stock exchange – which should keep the CEO happy.

Can Ford keep the dominance up for the rest of the year?
