Clarke looks good leaving his modified Jaguar XJ, but the figures reveal that MPs are still utilising all the funds available to them, even though they’re meant to use public transport as much as possible.

Car finance drivers will be interested to know that this number isn’t as high as the Business Department’s car bill of £287,842. According to The Daily Mail, the 70-year-old secretary Clarke has "an allocated car which other members of the ministerial team make use of where possible."
