Saab should go bust due to car finance problems

As reported yesterday here on Carfinance24/7, Saab has been playing with fire recently due to its lack of car finance. The company has been struggling to pay its workers, struggling to make cars and struggling to stay afloat, and now there’s been some input from the European Association of Automotive Suppliers. The group has called Saab out and said the company should enter voluntary liquidation.

According to the association, it would be the “only decent thing to do”, and would allow the company’s workers to claim compensation. Despite this quite surprising outburst, it seems for the moment Saab is safe, as a large order worth millions was placed by a mysterious Chinese outfit. How long the good fortune will last for, though, is another question.
