2009 world champion and all-round lovable character Jenson Button is hoping for a wet race at this weekend’s British GP at Silverstone. The 31-year-old Brit is hoping to secure his first win and podium at the track and feels that the forecasted wet weather will help him secure such positions.

Speaking to the BBC, Button said: "If you look at the pace in Valencia you'd say we were nowhere near close enough to the Red Bulls."

"Our car seems to work well in the wet so if it rains it's not so good for fans sitting out there but for us, in terms of our pace and a result, wet weather could be good," said the McLaren ace.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed for all the Brits at the British GP. Good luck lads!
