Car finance decision for F1 chiefs

After the continued debate regarding F1’s blow diffuser argument seems to be coming to an end, a new proposal has been brushed aside by the chiefs of the industry.

After the continued debate regarding F1’s blow diffuser argument seems to be coming to an end, a new proposal has been brushed aside by the chiefs of the industry. A report was taken to look at how to incorporate cockpits – like we see in fighter jets – into F1 cars. But bosses have said the move would be a mistake.

"You can have covers and you can have canopies, but you also have to be able to get at a driver to extract him. There are a lot of secondary considerations," said Ross Brawn.

According to the Daily Mirror, the chiefs all agreed it would be a car financial mistake to put a roof over the driver’s head, as it would be difficult to remove if a crash were to happen.

What do you guys think? Should the F1 bigwigs be considering this safety option?
