SsangYong safe financially, for now

Little-known car firm, SsangYong has been saved for a potential car finance disaster with a buy-out. The entire company was sold to an Indian company named Mahindra and Mahindra, but this new buy-out has ensured that the company’s security in the UK is safe.

Paul Williams, managing director of SsangYong Motor UK said:

"This is superb news for our dealers and customers who have been so loyal to the brand," said Mr Williams. "Shipments of the new Korando, as well as 2012 specification Rexton 2 and Rodius models will begin to arrive within the next few weeks."

So will we be seeing more of the SsangYong name in the coming years, or will awful designs and a lack of brand loyalty ruin the company’s appeal?
