Red Bull will continue to utilise Renault’s F1 engines until at least the end of 2016, it was announced at Monza on Friday. The long-running car finance agreement has been extended, and will now mean Red Bull will run the V6-unit from Renault for the rule changes in a few years.
A media statement read:
"Red Bull Racing and Renault share the views that stability is a fundamental condition to perform at the top levels of competition," said Renault Sport F1 president Bernard Rey.
While Red Bull’s team principle, Christian Horner, said:
"We're obviously thrilled to announce this significantly enhanced agreement with the Renault-Nissan alliance.”
