Raikkonen wants shares for F1 car finance return

Kimi Raikkonen may have been out of F1 since 2009, but the 2007 world champion isn’t one for messing about when it comes to his car finance, as the Fin has apparently asked for shares in the Williams team along with his drive for next year. It’s an odd request, but one that would see Raikkonen earing even more money, if he should return.

All of this is according to Germany’s Auto Motor und Sport. The paper also claims the deal is all but confirmed.

2010 and 2011 world champion Sebastian Vettel seems like he favours Raikkonen coming back to F1.

He is a sensationally good racer and it would be great if he is coming back," said Vettel.

"The Raikkonen case is complicated," said Germany's Auto Motor und Sport.

"Standing behind Raikkonen are wealthy businessmen, apparently from the Middle East.” So that’s an already rich Kimi Raikkonen and some rich Middle Eastern men. Sounds like a done deal, right?
