That’s right; a car from 1955 has sold for well over three-quarters of a million pounds, but there is a reason why. The Special 100 is unique; it has history and it is, above all, very pretty and cute. So there staggering price tag is sort-of justified.

The little Brit did well for itself, considering that the estimate was around £750,000 – so that’s proof that age and rust isn’t all bad!
