Financial dominance not certain for Red Bull in 2012

Despite Sebastian Vettel’s impressive back-to-back world championship wins, the German feels it will be difficult to get a third in 2012.

Despite Sebastian Vettel’s impressive back-to-back world championship wins, the German feels it will be difficult to get a third in 2012. Speaking to France’s Auto Hebdo, the young German driver has said that he will be pushing to the limit – in typical F1 driver style – but that he also knows McLaren, Ferrari and Mercedes will be hard to beat.

"We will try (to win again)," said Vettel.

"But the beauty of this sport is that before a new season, all the points counters are reset.

"It is up to Red Bull to build a competitive chassis and Renault to produce a powerful and reliable engine.

"There is no certainty; nothing is sure about this (success) continuing," added Vettel.

He said recently that his meteoric season was the result of hard work that must now continue.

It’s a big year for Vettel and Red Bull, as Adrian Newey tries to continue the dominance of the RB cars.
