Electric cars slashed in price

Electric cars are expensive, right? They’re a great idea but one that is probably quite a few years from being a viable replacement over petrol and diesel due to the premium pricing, agreed?

Electric cars are expensive, right? They’re a great idea but one that is probably quite a few years from being a viable replacement over petrol and diesel due to the premium pricing, agreed? Well, Peugeot and Citroen have decided to challenge that ideology by slashing the prices of their respective electrics.

The Peugeot Ion and Citroen C-Zero both now cost £21,216 after the government’s £5,000 grant, which represents a cut of £7,000 from the original list price. It’s good news, but £21k for what is, effectively, a city-car is still mind-blowingly expensive.

Does this price slash make you re-evaluate your thoughts on electric cars, or are you going to wait a few years until the prices come even further down.

It’s as car finance issue that needs some pondering.
