Toyota Celebrates 200 Millionth Vehicle Built

Toyota is celebrating in true car finance style with the news that it has just spawned its 200 millionth car. The firm, which was set-up in 1935, has now produced a staggering 200 million cars and remains one of the true powerhouses of the motor industry. According to Toyota, 75% of those cars were built in Japan, which is impressive to say the least.

Toyota’s reputation has always been built around the company’s reliability with building cars which don’t break down. It sounds daft, but when they were introduced to Europe all those decades ago, people rejoiced because most of the British cars of the time were quite unreliable. Toyota and Japan changed that.

Who’s to say they won’t reach 1 billion cars before we know it? At the rate they’re expanding, it could come sooner than you think.
