JLR Workers See 10% Pay Rise

In a move which will see the workers in organisations up and down the country who haven’t received a pay rise for some time slap their heads in disbelief, it seems Jaguar Land Rover is about to give its workers at Castle Bromwich, Whitley and Solihull a 10 per cent pay rise.

In a move which will see the workers in organisations up and down the country who haven’t received a pay rise for some time slap their heads in disbelief, it seems Jaguar Land Rover is about to give its workers at Castle Bromwich, Whitley and Solihull a 10 per cent pay rise.

Roger Maddison, Unite national officer, said: "The Unite shop stewards voted overwhelmingly in favour of the package which had been hammered out during tough negotiations with JLR's management.

"This will now go to a vote of the workforce and, if they are in favour, the two-year deal will start on November 1.

While it may annoy some, it’s probably helpful that JLR has been selling cars left, right and centre in the last few years, so they can probably afford a hefty pay rise such as this.
