Mercedes GL Grows for 2013

The Mercedes-Benz GL has always been an exceptionally big car, but it’s about to get even bigger for model year 2013. That’s right; Mercedes has decided one of the biggest cars on the road needs to go on a bulking regime – which is a little confusing considering the current trend of manufacturers going for smaller vehicles.

The new GL will be 21mm longer and 10mm taller than its predecessor, and the boot has grown a further 60 litres of capacity, too. So it’s going to be big, but should you buy one? Well, the entry level GL starts at just under £60,000 – so it is anything but cheap.

If you can afford such a premium, it’s a hard decision, seeing as the Range Rover is technically and visually the better car – but that’s up to personal choice, at the end of the day.
