Electric supercar within reach with car finance?

The dreams of environmentally conscious motorists may soon come true with the announcement of an electrically-powered supercar, although its price tag suggests the driver will need a very sturdy car finance deal.

The dreams of environmentally conscious motorists may soon come true with the announcement of an electrically-powered supercar, although its price tag suggests the driver will need a very sturdy car finance deal.

British car firm the Lightning Car Company has designed what may be the world's first electric car that can deliver over 700bhp, reports Yahoo!.

If true – and the claim is yet to be tested – this would be a truly staggering piece of engineering, made all the more special for its unique power source.

Unlike more traditional supercars, which tend to use petrol at a terrifying rate, this vehicle just needs to be plugged in to recharge its batteries.

The company offers two battery sizes, one that allows 125 miles of driving, while the second doubles that; not huge distances, but then that has never been the point of supercar driving.

From 2008 the Lightning GT will be available for in the region of £150,000, so get yourself an exceptional car loan or car credit deal and this beautiful vehicle could be yours.
