Luxury auto maker Porsche has unveiled the first details of its eagerly awaited Cayenne Hybrid, an impressive vehicle that will no doubt be a popular choice to buy with car finance.

With several of its major competitors launching hybrid vehicles Porsche has decided to put some work into polishing its green credentials.

The new drivetrain is being developed alongside VW and Audi and will feature in the Touareg and Q7, reports Autocar.

The manufacturer is reportedly aiming to produce 34 miles to each gallon of fuel, an impressive figure for a vehicle of this weight and pulling power.

As with several other hybrids currently available the Cayenne Hybrid will run on both a petrol engine and electric motor, with the motor acting as both starter and alternator, as well as assisting and taking over from the petrol engine to cut fuel use.

As yet the company is refusing to speculate on the expected price tag, but as with all Porsche vehicles taking a car loan or car credit deal will likely remain the purchasing option for most people.
