Car finance helps Land Rover owners offset emissions

Land Rover has announced a new scheme to help offset emissions for owners of its vehicles, which are made much more affordable by taking a car loan or car finance.

Land Rover has announced a new scheme to help offset emissions for owners of its vehicles, which are made much more affordable by taking a car loan or car finance.

Currently Land Rover contributes towards a carbon offsetting scheme for all models built from this year, but owners will now be able to gain extra offsetting credits or offset for a pre-2007 model, reports Auto Industry.

The project, run in conjunction with Climate Care, allows Land Rover owners to input details about their model, the type of fuel they use, the number of cylinders and transmission type to get a tailored offsetting projection.

Drivers can choose between offsetting for 15,000 or 45,000 miles, roughly equivalent to one and three years' driving, respectively.

At present brand new Land Rovers come with 45,000 miles' worth of emissions already offset through the scheme, offering environmental piece of mind for the 4x4 motorist.

Buying one of these majestic vehicles is made considerably easier by arranging car credit or a car loan, helping to cut your monthly outgoings.
