New car finance customers looking for a rugged off-road vehicle may be interested in Subaru's latest model.
The Japanese manufacturer's new Forester SUV, which is expected to be available to motorists with approved car finance in April next year, could give cars such as Toyota's RAV4 and the Honda CR-V a run for their money, according to Auto Express.
It is reported that the new car, which is based on the chassis of Subaru's world beating rally car - the Impreza, will come with an entry-level price tag of around £17,677 and will be available with a 148 bhp 2.0-litre petrol engine with a diesel unit to follow in September.
Auto Express states that the Forester will be longer, wider and higher than its predecessor and has the kind of rugged good looks that live up to its abilities as a real off-road vehicle.
The Subaru Forester has been in production since 1997 and in 2003 saw a turbocharged XT edition hit the forecourts.
